Which launcher do you use for your android phones and tablets and why?

As other users have pointed out, most of the important Android things don’t really sync with Windows, but instead with Google. But if you want to move files from your PC to your phone (like to use your phone as you would a traditional MP3 player by copying songs to it) it will just appear as a drive in windows where you can drag and drop stuff to. Microsoft does make Android apps for their ecosystem’s services (hotmail, xbox etc).

If your only main concern is battery life I would recommend the Nexus 4 but I guess since your on Verizon thats a no go. One of the droids should be fine, they are well reviewed.

I use Nova launcher for my feiteng gt-i9300+ smart phone

Nova Launcher – the gestures and customization are nice, and it’s one of the few launchers where I was able to set the margins on the dock & home screen to look exactly like the stock launcher – I couldn’t find a combination on Apex that exactly matched stock (perhaps I’m nitpicking here).

1. It does its job well – it launches stuff, and has widgets (there aren’t many that I find useful, anyway…)

2. No custom launcher I’ve tried performs better

3. Scrollable docks are gimmicky, IMO

4. The black background for the drawer looks alright on an AMOLED screen, because it just blends into the hardware

5. It doesn’t clog the settings app with options. Seriously, I hate that

Great features and performance.

Doesn’t seem as snappy as stock or Trebuchet, but the amount of customization easily makes up for the ever so slight snappy difference. The performance difference is only noticeable once I use stock or Trebuchet for an extended period, so it really doesn’t make a difference.

I used to use LauncherPro on Gingerbread and below, now that I have Ice Cream Sandwich on my phone and Jellybean on my Nexus 7 I stick with the stock launcherReason being, I had flashed a custom ROM in my Incredible S along with an on-screen button mod(because the backlight keys weren’t functioning properly) and with Trebuchet, Buy iphone 5, my apps would semi-overlap with the dock.

It has some decent gestures + I can keep all of the stock JB animations and transitions.

Best Part – Background transparency lets me have a wallpaper in my app drawer which just looks so much better than a black background.

I’ve had my Note II less than a week, and I already love it irrationally. I am a little afraid I may go blind due to overexposure to pure awesomeness, but I’m willing to risk it.

I am on AT&T, and got them to price match a Wal-Mart in store price of $199, then they waived activation, so with tax the total ended up being $190. If I were on Verizon I would still get this over the Droid DNA. I hate sense, not only the skeumorphisms everywhere, the performance is terrible. And HTC lock their boot loaders, so running custom ROMs to mitigate that is harder.

As much as people over blow the “cheap” plastic feel, I think people do the same with “ugly.” I know all the cool kids call Touchwiz ugly, so peer pressure dictates everyone else must follow suit, but the Touchwiz Nature UX is not your father’s Touchwiz. Touchwiz of old had uglier stock Android to cover up, TouchWiz of recent is scaled back to let Android show through more. Even on AOSP based ROMs I use Nova launcher, I have the same complaints about trebuchet as I do TouchWiz launcher, or Sense launcher, customization like row and column changes, transition, hide labels etc.

I have seen the slight pink shadow with white text on black background, but it’s something I have to look for to see. After having a y9300+ smartphone, I am not disappointed with the screen at all on the Note II. Using one of the screen modes you can tone down the saturation and everything looks as accurate as my y9300+ smartphone did.

I have a laundry list of things that made me choose the Note II over everything else out there. None are big enough on their own, but when I combine them all, there was no doubt. Some of the big ones are: silly-monstrous battery, micros card slot, LED notification, capacitive/physical button combo, and I use and like the kitschy TouchWiz stuff (smart stay, smart rotate, S Pen apps,Android 4.1 Tablet PC, Multi-View, Smart Alert, etc) that I would lose on AOSP.

As far as updates – Samsung has really stepped up their game, the GS II got ICS before the Nexus S did, and the GS III almost beat the CDMA Galaxy Nexus. Samsung has baked in a whole skin faster than Google can add CDMA support to the same update once, and almost twice. The Note II is the first carrier subsidized device to ship with Jelly Bean. So, yeah, Samsung is getting the update thing down.

Comes with the little air-bubble card; usually they don’t though a credit card works just as well

MPERO iphone 5 Con’s:
The cutouts for the front camera/ear piece are a little wider than needed and offset to the left. As long as the screen protector is put on straight this isn’t an issue at all, but is noticable that it isn’t properly centered.
Slight oily-looking effect on the screen – only noticable when light is directly hitting the screen. It isn’t anything bad but should be noted.
