Complete with a cut-out design for the touch screen, this case allows you to keep the same tactile feel as using the Apple iPhone 5 without a case. Perfect for users who desire durable protection with a clean, modern design. If your in the market for a new case for your phone we highly recommend trying a new TPU case. The case is a plastic and silicone material hybrid. It’s shock absorbent, doesn’t dent nor will it tear or scratch. Retains the grip, soft feel and flexibility of a silicone case with the protection of a hard case. Installing the case couldn’t be any simpler. Just place the phone into one end of the case then pull/stretch the other end over the opposite end of your phone. Your phone remains fully functional while in the case with access to all the phones futures. Case is bendable, flexible and always retains its original shape. This item ships in Cimo retail packaging.

The iPhone 5 isn’t perfect. Regarding hardware, it does a very poor job of holding up caseless with respect to the edges. I’ve been going caseless without my Cimo S-Line iphone 5 Case since launch day and with zero drops it looks pretty bad when inspected. The good news is that I don’t really give a shit and rarely do I notice the wear and tear unless I look at it up close.
Software-wise, I’d like to see some live apps that can for example display the weather without having to open the app. I’d also like a drop down option for wi-fi and common settings. Siri should also be able to adjust said things.
I think there is room for improvement for iOS 7 and hopefully Apple will bring it. Oh, iMessage is also very hit or miss and that really frustrates me. I had a European friend visiting for 2 weeks and half the messages we sent between our iPhone’s went through as texts and not iMessages, which I’ll have to pay for on my cell bill. That really sucks. Speaking of sucking, Siri much? More than half the time it completely does not understand me. Really annoying.
These kind of core engineering features make a better product for all users, even your grandmother, because they are built into the core functioning of the device and don’t require tinkering. When people say they want a widget to flip GPS, LTE, WiFi, and every other feature on and off incessantly, it just points to bad power management by the OS and the user having to do it himself. When Google unveiled the more fancy power consumption screen which graphs your power consumption over time, it struck me as completely wrong to make ordinary people look at and worry about such things. It’s a band-aid solution aimed at helping geeks manage (or rather ogle) their own power consumption and does not help the rest of the population.
It’s not that iOS is perfect because it’s not. I’m just optimistic that with new blood leading the iOS team, we’ll see lots of great stuff coming down the pipeline in response to the good competition from Google and others.
Otherwise I love my iPhone 5. Oh, AT&T gets a huge thumbs down for locking the SIM. Verizon allows for GSM travel use and can pick up international LTE when available. That’s huge.
But I love the rest. Screen is amazing, aluminum back fantastic, light as a feather, iOS is smooth as hell. There is a reason why the iPhone is so popular.
